Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Bella Connect mobile app for Android and iOS, including its rewards, field-sales, distributor, retailer, and service features.

Who We Are

Bella Connect is operated by Bella Bathwares ("Bella"). This policy explains what information the Bella Connect mobile app collects, why it is used, how it is shared, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

Depending on your role and the features you use, Bella Connect may collect or process:

  • Account and contact information, including your name, mobile number, shop or company details, role, and the one-time-password verification status used to sign in.
  • Rewards activity, including product QR codes scanned, returns recorded, points earned, offers, leaderboard activity, and redemption requests.
  • Payout and compliance details, such as PAN and UPI ID, when required to process rewards and applicable tax deductions.
  • Business and field-work information available to authorised roles, including customer, retailer, distributor, order, visit, attendance, collection, service, and project records.
  • Photos you choose or are required to capture for a feature, such as profile or KYC documents, attendance selfies, storefront or site photos, odometer photos, and cheque or receipt images.
  • Precise or approximate location when you use a location-enabled feature, as described below.
  • Device and app information used for push notifications and support, including the notification token, app version, device model, operating-system version, language, time zone, and notification-permission status.
  • App diagnostics and usage information through Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, only after the current privacy policy has been accepted.

Camera and Photos

Bella Connect uses the camera to scan eligible product QR codes and, for authorised business workflows, to capture photos such as attendance, storefront, site, odometer, cheque, receipt, profile, KYC, or service-request images.

Camera frames used only to recognise QR codes are not stored as photos. A photo is uploaded only when you take or select it as part of a feature and submit that action. Camera and photo access is not used for advertising or user profiling.

Location

Bella Connect may request location while you are using the app for field attendance, customer or project visits, service check-ins, product scans, or returns. The app does not request background location.

For reward scans and returns, sharing location is optional. A scan or return continues if you decline permission or a location fix is unavailable. Location may be used to verify genuine reward activity, prevent misuse, support field operations, and understand service or product coverage. You can change location permission at any time in your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use information only to operate and improve Bella Connect and related Bella services, including to:

  • Authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
  • Credit rewards, process returns and redemptions, calculate required tax deductions, and prevent fraud or programme misuse.
  • Provide role-based business, sales, service, attendance, visit, order, collection, and customer-management features.
  • Send offers, milestones, account updates, and operational notifications when notifications are allowed.
  • Diagnose crashes, monitor app reliability, provide support, meet legal obligations, and protect Bella, its users, and partners.

Sharing of Information

Bella does not sell personal information and Bella Connect does not show third-party advertising.

Information may be shared with Bella group companies, authorised distributors or administrators where needed for the relevant workflow; Odoo and other service providers that host or operate the service; WhatsApp/Meta or an approved messaging provider for OTP and user-initiated sharing; Google Firebase for notifications, consent-enabled analytics, and crash reporting; and government or legal authorities when required by law.

When you choose a share action, the selected document or information is sent to the app or recipient you choose.

Storage, Security, and Retention

Bella Connect stores limited information on your device, such as secure session data, preferences, cached app data, notification settings, and the record of telemetry consent. Information submitted through the app is transmitted to Bella/Odoo systems over encrypted connections.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, administer rewards and business operations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet tax, accounting, audit, warranty, and other legal requirements. Precise scan locations are removed or reduced to a coarser area after the applicable retention period. Retention can vary by record type and legal obligation.

Your Choices and Rights

  • You can change camera, photo, location, and notification permissions in your device settings. Some features cannot work without the permission needed for that feature.
  • You can review the current policy inside Bella Connect and decline an updated policy by signing out.
  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by contacting Bella.
  • You can request account deletion in Bella Connect from Profile > Account > Delete account. If you cannot access the app, use the web deletion form linked below.
  • On a verified deletion request, Bella revokes access and deletes or anonymises personal information that is not required to be retained by law. Legally required accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, or transaction records may be retained and disassociated where appropriate.

Children's Privacy

Bella Connect is intended for authorised participants and business users and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, legal requirements, or our data practices change. The updated date will appear on this page, and the app may ask you to review and accept a new version before continuing.
